The match is currently listed live on ESPN 360
We have the commercial rights to broadcast their matches live in NYC
Kick off time is 3.45pm and of course it will be the feature match on the main level with full audio and NO COVER

The New York Tartan Army Cup - April 10

This year two new teams join the New York Tartan Army and the Scotland Visitors to play for the 4th Annual New York Tartan Army Cup. Teams from Ireland and from the Auld Enemy England will join the Scotland Visitors in attempting to take the cup away from the 2-time champion New York Tartan Army.

First game kicks-off at 5pm with the final at 6.45pm.

New Venue: Nike Field, Sara D Roosevelt Field, between Rivington and Stanton in the Lower East Side.

There will be four teams of 8 players, with 3-5 reserves each.

There will be two semi-finals, a 3rd/4th place match and a Final.

Each game will be 24 minutes long with penalties to decide the winner in the event of a draw.

First game kick off is 5pm.
Each player will agree to pay for the cost of their shirts (provided by soccer.com) plus a fee for the field/refs (approx $40 total each).

Post event party at St. Andrews Bar on the night of Friday April 10, 2009. More details to follow on that.

The game is on Setanta PPV so it will be a $20 cover on the door.
The match will be on the main level and doors will open @ 8am.

Approximately 5pm (as soon as Croatia v England finishes) - TAPE DELAY

This match is also on SETANTA PPV bus as it's taped delayed there will be NO COVER CHARGE. HOWEVER Setanta will be charging $20 per person until the 75 minute of the CROATIA V ENGLAND match so come in at the end of the live match to avoid the cover charge.

Of course as well as having considerably more money than any of you, Big Jock is also much more generous and kind hearted. He has offered to donate "two of your worthless third world dollars" to the fund for retired Tartan Army foot soldiers for anyone who can out-drink his vast consumption of Brooklyn Lagers. Percy will be allowed to look after his fat wallet for the afternoon while he challenges all comers.

Big Jocks popular with the ladies and he's had many lovers, there's a good chance your wife is one of his cast offs, but when it comes to drinking he's a mans man. Therefore any bar which will sells Corona or Martini is strictly off limits. Big Jock has spent more nights at expensive hostess clubs watching catwalk models earning an extra buck lap dancing for him than you've had hot dinners. The last thing he wants to see is some flabby barmaid performing tricks for the tourist crowds - Coyote Ugly theme bars are out.

The parade is on Saturday, April 5th this year and leading the parade this year will be Lawrence Tynes, footballer of the other kind with the Giants. Not often (actually never) that we've had a Scot in the Superbowl!

Remember and get into Nevada Smith's early! Doors open at 10am, KO is noon.

And good news for those who can't make it to Nevada's: the game is now being carried by ESPN Desportes (in Spanish) as well as RAI International (in Italian). ESPN Desportes is on Time Warner's digital cable in the city, so if you get shut out of Nevada's, you should be able to convince another bar to show it.

No guarantees from us, but the nearby Central Bar (9th St between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave) has served as overspill in the past.

We have a dream.

Latest news is that the Ukraine game will not be available on TV in the US, so the only option will be the internet and scotlandfootballtv.com. If this changes, we'll be sure to let you know.

The Georgia game, remarkably, is available on Setanta USA, so it will be shown at Nevada Smith's, on the main floor (free entry) at 1pm EST.

Worth noting that Scottish teams defeated French, Italian and Ukrainian opponents this week. Coincidence? Well done all round.

Fairly likely that there will be TV coverage as this is a big game and there's a sizable Ukrainian population in the US. If not, the SFA are streaming it on-line at scotlandfootballtv.com.

Georgia vs Scotland, Oct 17
Much less likely that this one will be available - more info as we get it.

Scotland vs Italy, Nov 17
This will probably be available. If all goes to plan and this is a deciding match, then the demand for this will be absolutely huge. If you can't make it to the pub, then the streaming option will be on again at scotlandfootballtv.com.
