Right folks, Big Jock has been on the blower and Big Jock isnae happy. And when Big Jock isnae happy heads will normally roll. However being the generous fucker he is, he has humbly allowed us to put together Big Jocks Tremendous 4th Semi-Annual New York Dive Bar Tour on the strict mandate of 'BACK TO BASICS'. Big Jocks popular with the ladies and he's had many lovers, there's a good chance your wife is one of his cast offs, but when it comes to drinking he's a mans man. Therefore any bar which will sells Corona or Martini is strictly off limits. Big Jock has spent more nights at expensive hostess clubs watching catwalk models earning an extra buck lap dancing for him than you've had hot dinners. The last thing he wants to see is some flabby barmaid performing tricks for the tourist crowds - Coyote Ugly theme bars are out.

The game is on Setanta Premium Pay-per-view so there will be a cover charge of $10 per person (which goes to Setanta).

A quick message about Tartan Day ... we'll put some info up soon on the various Tartan Day events. It will be all the same fun as previous years and we'll post the details as soon as we have them.

The parade is on Saturday, April 5th this year and leading the parade this year will be Lawrence Tynes, footballer of the other kind with the Giants. Not often (actually never) that we've had a Scot in the Superbowl!

Remember and get into Nevada Smith's early! Doors open at 10am, KO is noon.

And good news for those who can't make it to Nevada's: the game is now being carried by ESPN Desportes (in Spanish) as well as RAI International (in Italian). ESPN Desportes is on Time Warner's digital cable in the city, so if you get shut out of Nevada's, you should be able to convince another bar to show it.

No guarantees from us, but the nearby Central Bar (9th St between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave) has served as overspill in the past.

We've had confirmation from Nevada Smiths that they will have the Italy game live (it's on the RAI channel).

Kick-off is noon EST but make sure and get there early to get in (doors open at 10am).

Ukraine & Georgia Games

Latest news is that the Ukraine game will not be available on TV in the US, so the only option will be the internet and scotlandfootballtv.com. If this changes, we'll be sure to let you know.

The Georgia game, remarkably, is available on Setanta USA, so it will be shown at Nevada Smith's, on the main floor (free entry) at 1pm EST.

Worth noting that Scottish teams defeated French, Italian and Ukrainian opponents this week. Coincidence? Well done all round.

At this time, we don't know what the availability of the next three games is, but if they are available at all, they will most likely be available to watch at Nevada Smith's. Check back in the week leading up to each game for the latest information.

Scotland vs Ukraine, Oct 13
Fairly likely that there will be TV coverage as this is a big game and there's a sizable Ukrainian population in the US. If not, the SFA are streaming it on-line at scotlandfootballtv.com.

Georgia vs Scotland, Oct 17
Much less likely that this one will be available - more info as we get it.

Scotland vs Italy, Nov 17
This will probably be available. If all goes to plan and this is a deciding match, then the demand for this will be absolutely huge. If you can't make it to the pub, then the streaming option will be on again at scotlandfootballtv.com.

The England and Ireland matches will be on upstairs and the bar will fill up (probably by 2:30pm), so make sure and get there early to get in. Make sure you CLEARLY STATE THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR THE SCOTLAND MATCH (which is FREE - the England match will have a $20 cover).

Anybody looking for info on the rest of the campaign's matches (Ukraine H, Georgia A and Italy H), we won't know until nearer the time whether there will be TV coverage available. Keep checking back.

It's been moved to the 14th this year to avoid a clash with Easter - does this mean we'll get better weather?

More info as we get it all organized, but the key things:

1. We'll be taking part in the parade again - everybody is welcome to join in - see here for more details.

2. As usual, we'll be hosting a party on the Saturday night - our 5th annual bash. Top music from Scotland and the usual high quality company.

3. 2nd annual football match - contact Malky if you're interested in playing, or helping out in any other way.
