This is the home of the New York based Tartan Army. There is no official New York City Tartan Army, the phrase simply refers to Scotland fans in the 'hood. All contributions are welcome.

The purpose of this site is:

  1. To advertise the Tartan Army NYC mailing list and provide an easy way to join
  2. To provide info on upcoming matches, viewing arrangements etc.
  3. To serve as a photo album for NYC Tartan Army trips
  4. To provide a central point for anything of interest to Scotland fans in the New York area.

What is the Tartan Army? Difficult question, but here's a quote from the Tartan Army Home Page:

"If you have ever supported, would consider supporting, or do support Scotland, you have the right to call yourself a Tartan Army footsoldier. All races, creeds, nationalities etc are welcome, even the English. There are already a lot of people with hairy knees, so those of a non-hairy-kneed disposition are particularly welcome"
