New York Bars - A Visitor's Guide

Football - Scotland Games
There is no bar that guarantees to show all the available Scotland games, but most recently we've had success at Nevada Smith's who have shown every available game for the past few years. The others listed here have all showed games for us too. In the run-up to any game, we'll post details of which bar will have it.
Football - Other Games
For generally football-friendly places, try the following
- Mundial
See ad above. In the interests of full disclosure, we have a financial interest in Mundial, but it is a fantastic place, so check it out! - McCormack's
- Red Lion
- Espnzone (this place only shows ESPN coverage, so mainly Champions League)
There are plenty other places - try First Touch for more details. For Old Firm games check out the local Rangers or Celtic supporters clubs.
Scottish Connections
- Botanica
Not Scottish in theme, but now Scottish owned since Mark from the Scratcher took over. Finally we have a Scottish-owned bar in the city! Definitely worth a visit - as citysearch puts it, "This is a truly great, grungy, divey, dark basement bar with wooden tables and chairs should you tire of lounging. You just can't beat this place for sheer comfort, although the urge to lie down in the dim back room is almost overwhelming." Say hello to Mark and tell him we sent you. - St. Andrews
This is actually Irish owned, but Scottish themed and has Scottish staff and Haggis on the menu. Usually the kicking off point for the annual Tartan Day parade. - Iona
I think this is part-Scottish, part-Irish owned, but have never managed to confirm it. Citysearch.com describes it as an "island between Ireland and Scotland" which is a bit like saying Manhattan is an island between America and Scotland. Anyway, a decent pub out in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with Belhaven on tap.
That's about it, although Clancy's and the Scratcher both have Scottish waitstaff. And the Swift Hibernian Lounge has been known to serve Irn-Bru and Belhaven so that's got to be worth something.
