We are all set to show the game live in Seattle at 8.30am (Friday 30th May). Apparently the game is on Setanta. As usual we will be at Fado and the kitchen will be open for breakfast!

The game is available on Setanta Premium PPV. Support your local bar and make it worth their while to pick it up by skipping out of work early. Setanta ask that bars charge a $10 cover.

The game kicks off at 8pm in Scotland, but note that until the clocks go forward back home, there is only a 4 hour time difference.

If you're in the Seattle area, get in touch with Graham Milne so that he can convince the Fado bar to show the game (they're looking for 20 bodies to cover the costs).

Update: Graham tells us that Fado is showing the game ... turn up and make sure they don't regret it.

Happy New Year to everybody.

We've just added a couple of new pages to the site - hopefully they're pretty self explanatory

Let us know if you have any suggestions on making these better.

Also just wanted to post some thoughts on where we are with the TA of NA. The Italy game saw unprecedented buzz and demand and we should all try and build on that. Keep trying to get organized in your area - the more organized we are, the more people we can reach out to, the better situated we are to negotiate with Setanta and the likes.

A few promising signs from the Italy game:

Nevada Smiths in New York (500 capacity) sold out with Scotland fans. Several other bars in city reporting 100+ crowds
300+ reported in Vancouver, 150 in Seattle
New groups forming in San Francisco and Dallas
We think Toronto and Houston are seeing big numbers, but through the local Old Firm clubs

Setanta has told us they need to make $15K+ to carry the games, which is certainly do-able given the demand we've seen, but we should consider all alternatives. If anybody happens to work with DISH, DirectTV or one of the cable providers, any insights on what it would take to get Scotland games on PPV. If we could be organized enough to ensure enough money then maybe we could make a proposal.

Latest news is that the Ukraine game is not available on NA TV. Setanta do not have the rights to it. If anybody finds a Ukrainian station that has it, please let us know.

As far as we can tell right now, neither game will be available on Satellite TV or legitimate internet stream. There is more likelihood of the Italy game being available but we have no confirmation yet. More info as we get it - if you have any news please add a comment.

More good news. The new Setanta USA Sports channel will also be showing the Norway vs Scotland game live. September 7th, 1pm EST.

There may be an overlap with both the Ireland and England games, so check your local place if this is likely to be a problem.

Looks like you can get this channel at home if you have DirectTV or Globecast WorldTV satellite service, and even if you don't, it should be easier for any pubs to get it.

More good news - the new channel will be carrying the Scotland v Italy game live. September 3rd, 12:30 EST. No word on the Norway v Scotland game.

We have confirmation that the Moldova game is being carried live by both Fox Soccer Channel (US) and Fox Sports World Canada – Saturday June 4, 10am EST.

However, nothing confirming the status of the Belarus game on Wednesday the 8th. The FSC website doesn’t go out that far and our local bar in New York says that it is *not* listed as being available. Anybody know any more?

Moldova & Belarus Games

Good news - it looks like the upcoming games may be available on the Fox Soccer Channel (in the US at least, anybody know if this covers Canada?)

FSC Listings

Both games are listed with a schedule of "TBA". If there is a clash with the other games listed (Serbia vs Belgium and Finland vs Holland) then I suppose there is a chance that the game could be shown tape-delayed, but looks like we're in with a shout of getting it live, and free.
